Every year, Tokyo's finest triathlon team (that would be us) gathers in the warm climate of Okinawa to participate in the Ishigaki triathlon. 2009 is no exception, and all the athletes have been preparing for this sporting feast. Some have even arranged to stay a kittke longer to ensure the after party is equally well attended.
One athlete will be missing this year though, and he will be sorely missed. David Holderbach, after a number of years being our master coach is relocating to France and therefore won't be able to attend. David, your legacy will live! For more about David and his departure, please check his blog here.
Anyhoo, most of us have been training hard for this event, and the triathlon group has become larger. Here is what we looked like on Sunday after a few laps in Oi Futo.
Still smiling!
Let's see what comes after the race on Sunday ;-) I am confident our Master Coach will want to see some improvement over last year, so gambatte!
Whilst it is too late to make some significant improvement on fitness, it is still possible to forget some essential gear for the event. Here is a link to help with this essential discipline of packing your suitcase with the right gear: http://triathlon.racechecklist.com/
See you in Ishigaki!
Go girls!!!
